BDIA’s mission is to enhance the recognition of professional translators and interpreters, foster communication among members, set standards of competence and ethics, offer professional development opportunities, and advocate for the profession. Our aim is to support and advance the field, ensuring excellence and integrity in all aspects of translation and interpretation.

In Bangladesh, there are currently, have been, and will be thousands of translators working in a variety of fields. These include the government, semi-government, private sector, foreign missions, NGOs, international organizations, construction projects, and the apparel and related industries sector. Their efforts are essential to supporting these industries’ growth and development as well as enabling efficient communication.
